The head of NASA, Bill Nelson, during a conversation with the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, spoke in favor of extending the operation of the International Space Station (ISS) until 2030. Mr. Rogozin invited Mr. Nelson to Russia. The head of NASA accepted the invitation.

Dmitry Rogozin raised a number of questions “that significantly complicate interaction”: these are sanctions against Russian enterprises in the space industry and the lack of official information on plans for the further use of the ISS from the United States. “The head of Roscosmos also invited Nelson to come to Russia. The invitation was accepted, ”the message says.
In April, it was reported about Russia's plans to leave the ISS, due to the fact that it is “seriously outdated.” At the same time, the flight director of the Russian segment of the station, Vladimir Soloviev, reported that the ISS will be operated until 2030 or even longer. Roskosmos noted that the decision to continue operating the ISS will be made after 2024 based on its technical condition and plans to deploy a national orbital station.
