The United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) intends to create a dedicated expert group to investigate the incident with the Science module on the International Space Station (ISS).
It is noted that the composition of the group will cooperate with Russian colleagues. This is stated in the statement of the American department.
– A group is formed to thoroughly investigate (the incident) .. and evaluate the performance. The composition of the team and the scope of the investigation will be determined, the space agency said.
Earlier it was reported that on the new laboratory module “Science”, which on July 29 docked to the International Space Station, the engines were unscheduled. The Nauka multipurpose laboratory module was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome on the Proton-M rocket on July 21, and on the 26th Russia undocked the Pirs module from the ISS.
