NASA will continue to work closely with Roscosmos on the International Space Station (ISS) program, including on the safety of its crews, said US space agency spokesman Stephanie Schirholz.
“NASA and Roscosmos have worked and will continue to work closely as partners to safely conduct operations on the ISS,” she said.
At the same time, Stephanie Schirholz emphasized that Russia “has confirmed its participation in the ISS program at least until 2024, like NASA, as well as the Japanese, European and Canadian space agencies,” reports TASS.
We will remind, as the website kp.ru wrote, earlier Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said that the life of the ISS had long expired, and the state of the station leaves much to be desired. Russia will conduct a technical survey of the ISS, after which it will decide to withdraw from the project from 2025.
