Apple smartphones produced for Europe received additional markings on the body. The journalists of the MacRumors edition drew attention to this.
According to the authors, iPhone 12 produced for European countries will receive engraving on the side frame of the case. The CE mark means that a product meets the essential requirements of the directives and standards of the European Union. Smartphones sold in the United States may not be marked by local regulators – this is clarified in the E-Label Act, passed in 2014. In this case, all regulator information should be available in the gadget settings.
Previously, Apple applied markings on the lower part of the back of the case of smartphones, but decided to transfer the marks to the side of the iPhone. Experts call the EC marking a mandatory attribute of a product for its release on sale. Also, the iPhone 12 sold in the US differs from the device intended for the Russian market by a special window for stable 5G signal reception, which is located on the right side of the device. This is due to the fact that the American versions of the device have support for the millimeter wave (mmWave).
Also in some countries – for example, France – Apple will sell smartphones with wired headphones. At the same time, consumers in most regions will receive a simplified kit – without a headset and a charging adapter.
Smartphones of the new iPhone 12 series were presented on October 13. The models received OLED displays, 5G support, a ceramic-coated front panel, dual and triple cameras.
