British professor Tim Spector from the ZOE Covid Symptom Study organization said that the omicron strain of coronavirus is able to settle in the intestines, and not in the nose, writes The Sun.

Spector described seven hidden symptoms of the COVID-19 omicron strain and named disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) among them. People who are infected may experience nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and bloating, heartburn, and diarrhea. If you have these symptoms, doctors advise you to immediately go into self-isolation and take a PCR test for the presence of coronavirus.

The specialist also urged attention to back pain, loss of appetite, night sweats, confusion and sore eyes. Spector also attributed these signs to the hidden symptoms of omicron infection.

Earlier, the doctor and TV presenter Yevgeny Komarovsky revealed a way to recover from the omicron strain at home. He advised not to take antibiotics and other serious “drugs” and also advised to drink plenty of fluids, as this affects the viscosity of blood and sputum.
