Nutritionist Lon Ben-Asher has named a way to reduce cravings for tasty but unhealthy food. His words are quoted by Eat This, Not That!

Ben Asher explained that processed and ready-to-eat foods contain a lot of sugar, which is why such foods are addictive. Moreover, according to him, it is difficult to find a more useful replacement with the same pronounced taste. Since high amounts of sugar and unnatural ingredients are harmful to health, the nutritionist advised changing taste preferences.

He noted that changes can take different amounts of time for different people. First of all, he advised replacing sweets with fruits. “Fruits are nutrient-dense, high in dietary fiber, which keeps food in the stomach longer and relieves hunger,” Ben-Asher said, adding that some fruits help control blood sugar levels due to their soluble fiber content.

To get the most benefit and prolong the feeling of fullness, a nutritionist suggests adding other fiber-rich foods, such as vegetables, to fruits. You can also combine fruit with proteins and fats such as nuts, seeds, and peanut butter without added sugar.

Earlier it was reported that nutritionist Laura Burak named a recipe for anti-aging natural juice that can be prepared at home. Burak suggests adding greens and vegetables to the juice, such as spinach, kale, and cucumbers.
