Naftogaz complained to the European Commission about Gazprom's anti-competitive actions

by alex

NAK Naftogaz of Ukraine on December 21 filed a complaint with the European Commission about the abuse of the dominant position in the European gas market by Russian Gazprom.

The head of Naftogaz, Yuri Vitrenko, explained that Gazprom has sharply reduced sales of its own gas, and also limits the ability of other companies to supply additional volumes of gas to Europe and compete with it, which is the key reason for the crisis and record growth in prices for blue fuel.

– Naftogaz, as one of the largest gas buyers in Europe, also suffers losses due to these abuses. Therefore, we ask the European Commission to respond appropriately to violations, he stressed.
