Iron deficiency anemia in men can be a symptom of gastrointestinal cancer. This was told by the doctor and presenter Alexander Myasnikov on the air of the TV channel “Russia 1”.
The lowered hemoglobin level in women can be explained by regular blood loss for natural reasons, the specialist explained.
“In men, this means, in any case, loss from the gastrointestinal tract,” Myasnikov said.
He advised men to see a doctor for any degree of iron deficiency anemia.
“Men, there is no abnormal hemoglobin for you … Don't miss cancer, polyp, ulcer,” the expert concluded.
