Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan held talks on Wednesday, January 27 with the founder and CEO of the American company SpaceX, Elon Musk. Discussion of the various between the politician and the entrepreneur took place over the phone.
“Cooperation in various fields was discussed, including between companies and institutions of the public and private sectors of Turkey in the field of space technologies,” reads the communiqué of the Turkish leader’s office, writes TASS.
Recall that in early January, the space technology manufacturer SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 launch vehicle into space with the Turkish communications satellite Turksat 5A. It should start operating in the second half of 2021, which will become the fourth Turkish vehicle in orbit. This satellite is required to provide digital television and broadband Internet services.
