Muscovites will be able to see night lightning in the sky, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the leading employee of the Phobos weather center Yevgeny Tishkovets.
“Energy stress in the atmosphere and positive energy of instability will lead in the second half of the environment to the emergence of powerful cumulus clouds 10-11 kilometers high and, as a result, due to the dryness of the atmosphere – to dry thunderstorms and night lightning,” Tishkovets said.
Zarnitsa are instant flashes of light on the horizon in a distant thunderstorm. No thunder rolls are heard.
On Tuesday, July 13, another temperature record was recorded in Moscow. The air in the capital warmed up to plus 32.7 degrees, exceeding the indicator of 1936. This is the first record in July and already the fifth in less than two months of summer.
