Bodies of Ukrainian woman and her child found in North Rhine-Westphalia
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has officially confirmed the murder of a Ukrainian citizen born in 1992 and her one-year-old daughter in the city of Dorsten, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
This was stated in a message from the Consulate General of Ukraine in Dusseldorf.
According to the Consulate General of Ukraine in Dusseldorf, the bodies of the mother and child were found on June 29 near their place of residence.
On June 30, law enforcement officers detained a 16-year-old Ukrainian citizen who came to the crime scene and confessed to the crime. A forensic medical examination confirmed the violent death of the victims.
The Foreign Ministry reported that a criminal case had been opened on the fact, and investigative actions were ongoing. The Consulate General also contacted German law enforcement officials to clarify additional details.
“Diplomats are working to establish contact with the relatives of the deceased and the detainee. The case is under special control,” the ministry noted.
Let us recall that the suspect in the murder is a 16-year-old Ukrainian who is currently under investigation in Germany.
