The Aprilia pilot was involved in a fire accident with Dani Pedrosa on Sunday.
After his serious accident in the MotoGP class last Sunday in Spielberg, Aprilia driver Lorenzo Savadori had an operation on his broken ankle. The Italian team announced on Tuesday. As a result, Savadori will miss the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend on the same track. “The operation was successful,” Aprilia said in a statement.
The Styrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring was interrupted on Sunday when Savadori crashed into Dani Pedrosa's KTM machine on lap three after the Spaniard fell. Both motorcycles went up in flames. Pedrosa was uninjured and restarted, while Savadori was carried away on a stretcher.
