Neighbor: 53% of Americans hide New Year's gifts in the bedroom closet

The most popular secluded place is named, which is used to store New Year's gifts hidden from family and friends. This was reported by researchers of the American portal portal Neighbor, writes Kommersant.
According to polls, most often Americans hide gifts in the closet in the bedroom, 53 percent of those surveyed reported this. They usually look for gifts there. In second place are any unoccupied rooms (32 percent), then a wardrobe and space under the bed (26 percent of respondents said this each), and then the trunk of a car (25 percent).
47 percent of the respondents admitted that they make surprises for children, 38 percent – for partners. Every fifth respondent hides presents for friends, parents, brothers or sisters. It is reported that half of the hidden gifts were eventually found. Every fifth person experiences severe stress because of this.
Earlier in December, it became known how much Russians are willing to spend on New Year's gifts. A survey of the SuperJob service showed that the average budget for this is about 13 thousand rubles. It is noted that the majority of respondents (66 percent) are going to buy gifts for their relatives. 32 percent of those surveyed said that they would give something to their loved ones, and 19 percent – friends.
