Analysts of InfoWatch Group have studied information leaks for 2020. They came to interesting conclusions.
According to experts, the first year of the pandemic was accompanied by an increase in the number of less obvious leaks. According to InfoWatch Group of Companies, data from government organizations and commercial companies began to merge 4.5% less often. But intentional leaks have grown, in which third parties are to blame.
For a covid year, about 11 billion personal data records were in the public domain. Among them were names, surnames, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, passwords, physical addresses, social security numbers, bank card details, etc. According to analysts, payment information was merged less frequently. Most likely, because the protection of the payment infrastructure has increased.
The total share of intentional data leaks was 72.5% in 2020.
