Moscow schoolchildren are invited to participate in the Tournament of Cities
The International Mathematics Olympiad “Tournament of Cities” will take place in Moscow. Participants from grades 8-11 will be able to demonstrate their knowledge on October 10 or 24, depending on the selected level of assignments.
Complex tasks will be similar to the tasks of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in mathematics. The basic level will be easier. The Olympics will last five hours. If desired, schoolchildren can take part in the event on both days. The winner's diploma will be awarded to students with high results in any round.
The scientific director of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence, Ivan Yashchenko, emphasized that the peculiarity of the Olympiad is that it orients students to in-depth work on the problem.
All those wishing to take part in the tournament must register on its official website.
The Tournament of Cities is an international mathematics Olympiad that has been held since 1980. Schoolchildren from 100 cities in more than 25 states annually become its participants.
Earlier it was reported that students of five Moscow universities were among the best programmers in the world.
