Mortality from coronavirus has increased in the world – WHO

The World Health Organization reported that The number of new deaths from cororanavirus during the week increased by 10% compared with the previous week. During November 29 – December 5, 2021, more than 52,500 new deaths were recorded in the world.

This is stated in the WHO weekly epidemiological bulletin.

According to WHO information , as of December 5, there were almost 265 million confirmed cases of coronavirus and more than 5.2 million deaths from illness worldwide. Mortality increased 49% in the Southeast Asia region and 38% in region of North and South America. while weekly mortality decreased in the Africa and Eastern Mediterranean regions by 13% and 8%. In the regions of Europe and the Western Pacific, deaths due to coronavirus were the same as last week.

WHO notes that the Region of the Americas is the only one in which there has been an increase in both morbidity and mortality.

As reported, scientists at the University of Manchester in the UK identified a group of people who die from COVID-19 more often than others.
