More than 90 Palestinians were injured in clashes with the Israeli military in the city of Nablus on the West Bank. This was reported by TASS with reference to the WAFA agency.

A total of 97 people were injured, of which five were injured.

Palestinians protested against the construction by the Israeli authorities of houses for Jewish settlers on the land confiscated from the Arabs. Israeli security forces fired rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse the rally. As a result, five people were injured by rubber bullets, and another 92 showed signs of suffocation from the effects of tear gas.

In December, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) allowed soldiers to immediately shoot to kill Palestinians when attacking military and border facilities. Soldiers are allowed to shoot at attacking intruders who may flee the scene of the crime.

The territories of the western bank of the Jordan River have been under the control of the IDF since 1967. Then these and some other lands were occupied by Tel Aviv as a result of the Six Day War with the coalition of Arab states. Since then, Israel has been systematically building them up, populating them with its citizens.
