Earthquake death toll likely to rise.
< p>In Afghanistan on the night of June 22 a powerful earthquake of magnitude 5.9 occurred. It claimed the lives of at least 155 people, more than 200 were injured.
Al Jazeera reports.
According to the Geological US Service, the earthquake occurred about 44 km from the city of Khost, near the Pakistani border, at a depth of 51 km.
