The embassy noted that the word “satellite” is well known in Indonesia, as well as the name of the first cosmonaut, which is very popular in the country. The reason for such popularity may be that the first President of Indonesia, Sukarno, awarded Gagarin for his space flight with the Order of the Second Class of the Star, which is one of the highest state awards in Indonesia.
Earlier it became known that in Jakarta due to heavy downpours, the streets were flooded.
