Montenegro has tightened the rules of entry into the country

In Montenegro, stricter rules for entering the country have come into force, according to the National Television of Montenegro.

From September 14, entry into the country is allowed for those who have completed a full course of vaccination (14 days after the second vaccination), upon presentation of a PCR test made no earlier than 72 hours before the trip, or an antigen test no older than 48 hours.

It is clarified that the changes concern citizens of Montenegro and foreigners. In the absence of these documents, the entrants will be sent to quarantine.

Earlier, the country's government requested urgent assistance from NATO and the EU in connection with the dire situation in the health care system. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Montenegro, where about 620 thousand people live, more than 108 thousand cases of coronavirus infection have been identified.
