The offensive player, who came to Vienna from Austria Klagenfurt from the second division in 2019, was one of the most noticeable players in the Viennese team last season and was also the team's top scorer with six goals and five assists in the Bundesliga.
This season he was not always in the starting line-up under coach Manfred Schmid. On Sunday in the 333rd Vienna Derby against Rapid (1: 1) he wasn't even in the squad.
That is probably related to the transfer. Pichler will complete the medical check in Kiel on Monday before the change, combined with a four-year contract, will be officially announced. Holstein Kiel did not start the new season as desired. So far, there has only been one win and four points in five games.
