Croatian specialist Niko Kovacs suspended from work as AS Monaco head coach

Monaco, which includes Russian midfielder Alexander Golovin, will get rid of head coach Niko Kovacs. L'Equipe reports.
The 50-year-old Croatian specialist was suspended from working with the team. In the near future, the club should fire Kovacs.
The management of Monaco is dissatisfied with the lack of progress of the players. After 19 rounds of the French Championship, the Monegasques are in sixth place in the standings. They have 29 points.
Golovin has scored two goals in 13 matches for the club. The Russian has been defending his colors since 2018. He moved to AS Monaco after the World Cup.
Kovacs has led Monaco since 2020. His agreement with the Monegasques was calculated until 2023. The specialist is also known for his work at Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt. At the national team level, he led the Croatian national team.
