This is reported by The Guardian.

Speaking at a press conference with the President of the European Council Charles Michel, Sandu said that Moldova sees no “immediate” threat of escalation of unrest from the war in Ukraine, despite “provocations” by pro-Russian separatists inbreakaway region – unrecognized Transnistria.

Sandu and her government blamed “pro-war” separatist factions for the incidents and denounced comments last month by a Russian general that Russia was aiming to seize Ukrainian territory to contact the separatists in Moldova. Ukraine has accused Russia of trying to drag Moldova into the war. The Kremlin expressed “concern” about the situation in Transnistria.

“We do not see an imminent threat in the near future, but, of course, we have contingency plans for scenarios that are less optimistic or pessimistic,” Sandu said.

She again called the riots “provocations” by the separatists and said that the Moldovan police are doing everything they can to ensure stability.

Recall that the Russian troops now in the Transnistrian region of Moldova are on full alert. All scenarios are possible, and Ukraine is preparing for them.
