By 2030, Internet access will be provided throughout Russia, said Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, addressing the participants of the international online training on cybersecurity Cyber Polygon.
“We are doing everything necessary so that people can connect to the network throughout Russia, including the most distant points. We will ensure this by 2030, ”said the Prime Minister, the text of the appeal of which is posted on the government's website.
According to Mishustin, in 2021 more than a thousand base stations for Internet access will be installed in Russia. He stressed that now this is especially important, given the growing need for remote employment.
As the website kp.ru wrote, in April 2021, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin announced that the state corporation plans to provide space communications and broadband Internet access throughout the country in three years.
