Belarus has entered into an agreement with Russia on the supply of oil and gas for 2021 on favorable terms for itself, said Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko during a visit to Belaruskali.
“As always, negotiations of any kind are accompanied by certain bargaining on terms. But, in principle, everything ended for Belarus on good, favorable terms, “BelTA quotes him.
According to him, the gas price for Belarus is “very comfortable”, it practically remained at the level of 2020.
“If we talk about the current level of prices in the world spot markets, Belarus buys gas almost twice as cheap as current world prices,” he said.
Speaking about oil, the prime minister said that contracts have been signed with all major suppliers.
“Therefore, we are entering 2021 absolutely calmly and, as we believe, on favorable terms for Belarus for energy supplies,” Golovchenko summed up.
Earlier it was reported that Russia reduced oil exports to Belarus in January-November 2020 by 25.8% compared to the same period last year – to 11.795 million tons. In December, Belarus plans to import 1.64 million tons of oil from Russia, the press service of the Belarusian concern Belneftekhim reported.
