Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov considers it right to restrict children's access to computer games after the shooting in a Kazan school. He stated this on the air of the RTVI TV channel.
“If all these malicious different games are in direct accessibility, this is wrong. Why do you think that it should be available if it affects the psyche of children? It affects not only children, but adults also turn into gamers, ”the head of the republic said.
According to Minnikhanov, it is necessary to regulate access to violent games. However, he called the Internet useful. “Probably, after all, the Internet is very good, positive, but if there is no filter, especially for children, all this will be, as it were, available for the younger generation,” the President of Tatarstan added.
On May 11, a former student of Ilnaz Galyaviev attacked the Kazan school No. 175. Bursting into educational institutions, he opened fire on students and teachers. As a result, seven children and two adults were killed, and 23 others were injured. A few hours later, the shooter was detained by operatives.
Later it was established that Galyaviev had a license to own a weapon, a legally purchased gun and ammunition. In court, he pleaded guilty.
