State Duma deputy Vitaly Milonov proposed to create an electronic database of pedophiles. He called for this in a letter addressed to Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, RT reports.
“I ask you to consider the idea of establishing an open electronic database at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of persons convicted of pedophilia – a crime against the sexual inviolability of minors. The base will help all kinds of employers and landlords to exclude interactions with pedophile criminals and, as a result, create conditions for increased safety for children, ”he said in his address.
According to the deputy, crimes against children are a “sore subject” in our country. Pedophiles continue to “satisfy their sick fantasies,” despite government measures, Milonov said. He noted that people who are registered or even have a criminal record often manage to get a job that involves interaction with children. “Only by the fact of the tragedy, we again and again begin to wonder how a notorious pedophile managed to commit a heinous crime under the noses of law enforcement officers, teachers and parents,” the parliamentarian said.
Earlier, Milonov urged to equate escort girls with prostitutes and expel them from large cities. He suggested devising and introducing special algorithms for social networks to help identify women and agencies offering escort services. The deputy chairman of the State Duma committee on family, women and children believes that those who have stumbled for the first time can be forgiven, but those who organize entire companies that provide such services must be severely punished.
