Syrian Air Force helicopter crashes in Latakia, Syria

A helicopter of the Syrian Air Force (Air Force) crashed in the province of Latakia in the north-west of the country. On Thursday, February 17, RIA Novosti reported, citing a source in the Syrian security services.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, the crash occurred in the east of the region. The reason, according to preliminary information, was a technical malfunction of the machine.
It is specified that four Syrian soldiers on board were injured as a result of the incident. Their condition has not been reported.
Earlier in February, it was reported that one Syrian military was killed, five more were injured as a result of an attack by the Israeli army on Syrian air defense facilities. Four Israeli Air Force fighter jets attacked targets in the area of the village of Kiswa in the province of Damascus.
