Microsoft has unveiled the new Windows 11 operating system. It allows Android applications to run on the desktop, and the Start menu has moved from the bottom left corner to the center of the screen (now similar to the Mac Dock).
Microsoft Product Director Panos Panay, speaking about the new OS in a virtual presentation on the air, also promised that the system updates that increase its security will now be smaller and will load faster without requiring urgent saving and rebooting.
In addition, Windows 11 will allow you to configure multiple desktops for work, home and play, just like Apple's Mac computers.
The first, preliminary version of the new system will be available next week, and Windows 10 owners will be able to update the operating system for free. True, the update may not load on some computers: you need at least 64 gigabytes of memory and 4 GB of RAM.

Windows 11 will be tightly integrated with the Teams communications platform, and Xbox Games Pass, which gives access to hundreds of games, will be built into the new version of Windows by default.
Microsoft previously stated that Windows 10 is the latest version of the operating system and no updates are planned. The company later announced that Windows 10 would be phased out in 2025.
The head of Microsoft Satya Nadela called the launch of the new version the most important milestone in the history of Windows.
Analyst Jeff Blaber at CCS Insight, however, sees nothing revolutionary about Windows 11.
“This version, unlike its predecessor, does not bring any radical changes,” he says.
According to the analyst, Microsoft, by developing a new version of Windows, is ultimately trying to show that it has responded to complaints and significantly improved its product.
Forrester chief analyst J.P. Gounder notes that the new version is based on Windows 10 code and should help avoid the upgrade glitches seen with Windows Vista.
“The fact that everything is based on old experience is good, but the question arises: why is number 11 here? Maybe this is just an update to Windows 10, and not a full-fledged new version?” – asks the analyst.
