Microsoft recently asked Twitter users if they would like to return to Microsoft 365 the famous assistant Clippy (“Skrepysha”). People voted for.
True, now Skrepysh will be another emoji. His images will be replaced by a regular paper clip in the set of Microsoft 365 web services.
“This is the opportunity to make changes that only we could make – goodbye, flat, standard paperclip, meet Clippy!” – Microsoft said on the Microsoft Design blog.
As a reminder, Clippy first appeared in Microsoft Office 97. The assistant was removed in Office XP. The updated 3D emoji character can be seen in Windows, Office, Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft 365 products.
In October 2021, the company is also due to present the new operating system Windows 11.
