Metropolitan Amphilochius of Montenegro-Primorsky died at the age of 82, the press service of the Montenegrin-Primorsky Metropolitanate of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SOC) said.
“On Friday, October 30, 2020, on the eve of St. Peter Cetinsky, at 8:20 in the Clinical Hospital Center of Montenegro, after accepting the sacrament of the sacrament, His Eminence Archbishop of Cetinje, Metropolitan of Montenegro and Exarch of the Pec throne Amfilochii, died, ”the message says.

On October 6, it became known that the Metropolitan of Montenegro-Primorsky was infected with a new type of coronavirus. Then he did not have serious symptoms of infection, but the doctors decided to hospitalize. He was taken to the Clinical Hospital Center in Podgorica to monitor his condition.
Amfilochii (at birth Risto Radovic) was born in the village of Bar Radovic on January 7, 1938. At the age of 29, he was tonsured a monk, and a year later he was ordained a priest. He became Metropolitan of Montenegro-Primorsky at the end of 1990.
