Boston Dynamics' Spot Robot Dog was recently spotted in New York City. After that, the Americans began to look in the company's instructions for methods of disabling the robot. TJ has listed these methods.
Journalists, however, do not recommend testing most of the methods in practice, since the consequences can be unpredictable.
The first method involves disconnecting through the control panel. To do this, you must simultaneously press the triggers and button B, and then the red button “Stop”. After that, you need to press “Confirm” on the screen, and the robot dog will fall to the ground.
The second method suggests removing the battery. It can be removed only when the Spot motors are not activated.
You can also turn off the power on the case. At the back of the robot there are two special buttons – power and motor lock. Through the remote control, you need to turn off the motors, and then press and hold the blue power button on the back of the robop for two seconds.
Social media users also suggested blocking cameras and motion sensors for the robot. For example, by throwing fabric on it or painting it with paint. You can also mute Wi-Fi signals. But this will only work if the robot is controlled by the operator.
