MOSCOW, July 17. / TASS /. July 2021 in the European part of Russia may go down in history as one of the hottest, Yuri Varakin, head of the Roshydromet Situation Center, told TASS.
“If we talk about the European territory in general, to unite the Central and Northwestern Federal Districts, then it is quite possible that July will be one of the warmest for the entire period of meteorological observations,” he said.
According to Varakin, in Moscow, the average monthly temperature in July 2021 is already three degrees above normal, and in the Northwestern Federal District there was a whole series of temperature records. “Even if we talk about St. Petersburg, there were six and seven days when the temperature records were updated,” he said.
