That would mean eight all-electric vehicles from the EQ family.

In the coming year, the car manufacturer Daimler plans to start producing three new all-electric models at various locations around the world. The start of the Mercedes-Benz flagship EQS in the new “Factory 56” in Sindelfingen is planned for the first half of the year, followed by the EQE in the second half of the year – first in Bremen and a little later in Beijing, as Daimler announced on Monday.

The third model to be launched in 2021 is the EQB compact car, which will be built in Kecskemét, Hungary, and also in Beijing. For two other models – the SUV variants from EQS and EQE – Daimler is planning to start production in Tuscaloosa in the USA for 2022.

That would mean eight all-electric vehicles from the EQ family. Production is already running for three models: for the EQC since 2019 in Bremen and Beijing, for the people carrier EQV since this year in Vitoria, Spain. The compact car EQA is already being built in Rastatt, but will not be on the market until the beginning of 2021.
