The Italian prime minister hopes for further decisive action from the American leader.
US President Donald Trump needs to approach the issue of a peaceful resolution to the war in Ukraine with the same determination he showed in the situation with Iran.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni called on the American leader to do this at the NATO summit, ANSA reports.
“I told President Donald Trump that the same determination that was shown regarding the war between Israel and Iran must be applied to the other two ceasefire agreements – for Ukraine and for Gaza,” she told reporters.
During the NATO summit in The Hague, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte reportedly called Donald Trump “daddy” who sometimes has to use strong language to stop “boys fighting,” referring to the conflict between Israel and Iran.
