Meizu will release devices on the proprietary operating system Huawei

Already on June 2, Huawei will officially introduce the stable version of the proprietary HarmonyOS operating system for smartphones. Lately, there have been rumors that this OS will be installed not only on Huawei devices. Now the information has been confirmed: Meizu has promised to release its own products on HarmonyOS.

The company has released an official teaser. The poster reads “Hello HongMeng!” (HongMeng is the Chinese name for HarmonyOS). The presentation of devices on the new OS will take place on May 31.

Exactly what products with HarmonyOS will be shown is not officially announced. It is assumed that this could be a smartwatch Meizu Watch, as it should be presented on the same day – May 31st.

Earlier, Meizu confirmed that the smartwatch will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset and will support eSIM, which will allow them to receive calls without a smartphone.
