Meizu has announced that it has begun selling iPhones in its Meizu Mall branded stores.
This may seem strange, since Meizu has been comparing its Meizu 18 smartphone to Apple devices for a long time. The Chinese company claims that its model is as secure in terms of privacy as the iPhone.
In its announcement, Meizu noted that Apple smartphones are both a competitor and a friend to the Meizu 18 model.
So far, the logic behind Meizu's move is unclear. Sources point out that this is the first time in history that an Android smartphone manufacturer has decided to sell an iPhone in its own stores.
Earlier, Meizu said that 45% of people who bought the Meizu 18 are former iPhone owners.
