Oksana Marchenko, the wife of a Ukrainian parliament member from the Opposition Platform – For Life faction, Viktor Medvedchuk, has been added to the database of the Ukrainian site “Peacemaker”, according to the portal.
The creators of the site consider her to be involved in the “financing of terrorists”, as well as in “denial of Russian aggression, participation in Russian propaganda activities against Ukraine, participation in attempts to legalize the occupation” of Crimea.
In addition, the website states that Marchenko conducts commercial activities in Crimea, participates in the smuggling of goods and goods “to the occupied territories of Ukraine.” The database also speaks of her criticism of the declaration of independence of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the Russian Orthodox Church.
Earlier, in early February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy imposed sanctions on three Ukrainian channels – 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and ZIK. They belong to Medvedchuk's associate in the party, Taras Kozak. Zelensky argued his decision with a desire to oppose Russia. As a result, the channels stopped broadcasting, their broadcast continued on YouTube. Medvedchuk himself called this decision illegal, since Ukrainian laws prohibit the imposition of sanctions against its citizens.
On February 8, Marchenko announced that on one of the sanctioned channels – ZIK – her film “The Pilgrim”, in which she played the main role, was to be shown, the newspaper “Observer” reported.
