Media: In Tokyo and Osaka, the limit of places in intensive care for patients with COVID-19 is exceeded
The Japanese TV channel NHK reported that it exceeded the limit on places in intensive care for patients with COVID-19 in Tokyo and Osaka. Now the situation in hospitals corresponds to the fourth, the highest level of risk for the healthcare system, reports MIR 24.
According to the data received from the prefectures, in Tokyo 55% of places in intensive care are already occupied, in Osaka – almost 58%. Also critical for Japan, the level of occupancy in hospitals was noted in Hyogo prefectures – 70%, in Hokkaido – by 55%, in Kochi – 53.5%. In total, about 33% of hospital beds are occupied in the country, which is 2.6 percentage points higher than last week.
