McGregor's mentor admitted that he considers the third fight against American Nate Diaz tempting. “This fight makes me fearful. This guy is rushing ahead and he does not care – to fight for three or five rounds. That is why it is extremely interesting, ”Kavanagh is convinced. He also noted that he would be interested in a duel between McGregor and American Tony Ferguson.

McGregor was injured in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bout with Dustin Poirier. The Irishman continues to recover from a broken leg. He is expected to return to performing in the spring of 2022. The desire to fight the former UFC champion was expressed by Michael Chandler, Max Holloway, and Khamzat Chimaev.
