Irish mixed martial artist (MMA) Conor McGregor has announced that he will fight against Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao. He wrote about this on his Twitter.
“So my next step is to fight Pacquiao in the Middle East,” wrote the 32-year-old Irishman.
Previously, McGregor agreed to return to MMA. The Irishman is ready to fight against 38-year-old Diego Sanchez. The veteran of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has expressed a desire to play his last fight of his career against McGregor.
McGregor announced his retirement from MMA in June. Already in July, the Irishman hinted at a boxing match with Pacquiao. Then he congratulated the Filipino on his birthday and added “170” to the inscription. The fans decided that the ex-UFC champion was referring to the welterweight division.
McGregor is a former UFC champion in two weight divisions. He also has one boxing match to his credit. In it, he lost to the American Floyd Mayweather.
