Maybe everything is by analogy with tanks, – Musienko said whether Britain will provide Ukraine with aviation

Probably, the process of supplying Ukraine with aviation to fight the enemy will start unexpectedly. We are talking about the likelihood that the Air Force will receive F-type aircraft.

Alexander Musienko, head of the Center for Military Legal Research, told Channel 24 about this. According to him, it was this agreement that was discussed during the visit of President Volodymyr Zelensky to the UK.

What are the moods in the UK

< p dir="ltr">Alexander Musienko said that the British government would give an affirmative answer to this question.

The logic of events and the course of these events indicate that in the end both long-range artillery systems and long-range missiles such as ATACMS, their counterparts or GLSDB counterparts will already transferred to Ukraine. he stressed.

In his opinion, talk about the transfer of aviation to Ukraine cannot be groundless.

“If the Prime Minister of a country like Great Britain gives an order to his Minister of Defense, then this is no longer a matter of rumors, expert discussions or media discussions,” he said.

Musienko explained that the issue of expanding the British training mission for Ukrainian troops is also being decided. In particular, Ukrainian pilots will be able to get the skills necessary to use aviation.

I think that everything can be by analogy with tanks. That is, Britain made a decision to provide the Challenger 2, and after that we saw that decisions were made by other countries, – the head of the Center for Military Legal Studies focused his attention.

According to him, the initiative was supported USA, Germany and, possibly, France will join the transfer of equipment.

What can Ukraine expect

Alexander Musienko said that presumably in Britain they are discussing the transfer of multifunctional aircraft of the F series. 15,” he stressed.

In his opinion, the UK has two types of missiles. In particular, long-range at a distance of up to 300 km. They are analogues of American ATACMS systems. The country also has missiles with a range of up to 600 kilometers.

“But I think that we are talking about distances from 100 to 300 kilometers. This is what Britain will be ready to transfer,” Musienko explained.

According to him, Ukraine needs such weapons to destroy the rear of the enemy, prevent troops from deploying, deprive the invaders of the opportunity to supply ammunition, shells and necessary equipment directly to their forward positions.

It is necessary to complicate the logistics of the enemy, to make it impossible. This is an important element to deter the attacks that our enemy is increasingly launching,” he commented.

Musienko added that the helmet, handed over from the Ukrainian defenders of the sky, confirms one of the goals of Vladimir Zelensky in Britain – an agreement specifically on the transfer of aviation to Ukraine.

Aircraft for Ukraine from the UK: basic

  • Vladimir Zelensky asked about combat aircraft during his speech to the British Parliament. He stressed that our army desperately needed aircraft to counter Russia.
  • Rishi Sunak then asked Defense Secretary Ben Wallace to investigate what aircraft the UK could provide to Ukraine.
  • However, despite this prompt response, the Prime Minister's Spokesman stressed that this would be a “long-term solution” and not short-term assistance, which is what Ukraine needs most in the fight against Russia.
