At the moment, both trains from Prague – to Chop and Przemysl – are still in the Czech Republic.
Due to large-scale flooding in Poland and the Czech Republic, operators of both countries have temporarily cancelled a number of services in Ukraine.
Ukrzaliznytsia reports this.
Ukrzaliznytsia is in touch with carriers from both countries and is ready to help with flexible organization of connections for Ukrainian passengers. At the moment, both trains from Prague — to Chop and Przemysl — are still on the territory of the Czech Republic and have no chance of making it to their connecting Ukrainian trains,” the statement says.
The department emphasized that they are ready to accept passengers with tickets for today's trains on any train in the same direction in the next 24 hours for any available seats without exchanging tickets.
“As for passengers from Ukraine, following their connection in the Prague direction, we advise you to contact your Czech or Polish railway operator and clarify the schedule of the next trains. There is a high probability that passengers should plan an overnight stay in the city of the connection,” the Ukrainian railway noted.
Recall that Eastern Europe was covered by cyclone “Boris”. Record rainfall caused large-scale flooding, destruction and the first fatalities.
