Next to the headquarters of the space company SpaceX of billionaire Elon Musk, a banner appeared with the words “Mars Sucks”. It is framed as a quote on behalf of the Earth.
The banner was installed by the creative agency Activista. It decided to remind that the development of Mars is spending money and resources that could help protect the Earth.
“What doesn't suck? Land. But the way we treat her sucks. And you dream of Mars. Hell hole. A barren, abandoned wasteland you want to get to. This is great, but let's think about the Earth, ”says Activista on Twitter. On Instagram, activists added that Mars “sucked for a billion years and will suck for another billion years.”
What doesn't suck? #earth But the way we treat it frankly, sucks. And then, you dream of #mars. A hellhole. A barren, desolate, wasteland you can't set foot on fast enough. Great, we got to Mars. Now let's #prioritizeearth #marssucks #earthday #ElonMusk pic.twitter.com/7bkybArErU

Elon Musk made no secret of plans to colonize Mars. In December 2020, he announced that the first man would land on the Red Planet in six years, that is, at the end of 2026. According to the billionaire, at first, people will live on Mars under glass domes.
Among others, the opinion of the activists is shared by billionaire Bill Gates. According to him, he is indifferent to Mars, and “rockets will not help” to solve the problems of the Earth. “I will not shell out a lot of money on this, because my foundation would rather buy the measles vaccine and save lives for just a thousand dollars. Whenever I plan to buy something, I think that I can spend this thousand on a measles vaccine, ”said Gates, at the same time noting the role of Tesla Elon Musk in the fight against climate change.
