According to the British media, the English national football player Jack Grealish is about to move within the Premier League from Aston Villa to English champions Manchester City. Accordingly, City is said to have made an offer of 100 million pounds (about 118 million euros) for the 25-year-old villa captain on Friday, which the club from Birmingham is expected to accept this week. Grealish was spotted in Manchester on Wednesday.
At the EM the attacker came on four short missions and was once in the starting eleven of the “Three Lions”. In the final against Italy, which England lost on penalties, Grealish was used in extra time. With a transfer fee of 100 million pounds, ManCity would set a record in the Premier League. It would be the highest sum a British club has ever paid for a player. The most expensive entry in the league to date was Frenchman Paul Pogba, who moved from Juventus Turin to England's record champions Manchester United in the summer of 2016 for £ 89m (around € 105m).
City is reportedly planning another high-profile transfer. Striker Harry Kane is said to be coming from Tottenham. City is also said to have made an offer of 100 million pounds for the top scorer of the previous Premier League season. According to reports, the Spurs do not want Kane to pull under 150 million pounds (about 176 million euros).
