A 29-year-old man died after being detained in one of the Australian states by Australian police who used pepper spray on him. According to law enforcement officials, a small fight broke out between them. Details of the incident are described by the Daily Mail.
After a fight broke out, a can was applied to the man, and he was able to be detained. Then he passed out. Police officers gave him first aid, and soon doctors arrived at the scene, but the man died before the ambulance arrived at the hospital.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
The death of a suspect during arrest often turns into a scandal that escalates into a series of protests. This was the death of a black George Floyd in the American Minneapolis on May 26, after the incident, the public accused the police of exceeding authority (one of the officers kneeled on Floyd's neck during the arrest) and infringement of the rights of blacks. Supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement against violence against blacks took to the streets, protests escalated into riots with pogroms, robberies, shooting and arson and began to take place not only in all cities of the United States, but also in other countries of the world.
