Moscow. 14th of April. INTERFAX.RU – The Mail.ru company has filed appeals against fines of 4 million rubles for the failure to delete by the social network Odnoklassniki belonging to it prohibited content related to appeals to minors to participate in uncoordinated actions.
The press secretary of the Savelovsky court, Maria Mikhailova, said that the court received complaints about two decisions of the magistrate. The date of the appeal hearings has not yet been set.
In early March, the Magistrates' Court of the Savelovsky District of Moscow fined Mail.ru 4 million rubles for failure to delete prohibited information. The company was found guilty of committing two administrative offenses. For each offense, the company was sentenced to an administrative fine of 2 million rubles.
In early April, a Moscow court fined Twitter and TikTok for similar offenses in the amount of 8.9 million rubles and 2.6 million rubles, respectively.
Roskomnadzor reported that since February 11, the service has drawn up administrative protocols in relation to various social networks that have not removed or untimely removed calls for minors to participate in unauthorized actions.
On January 23, 31 and February 2, unauthorized rallies took place in the regions of the Russian Federation in support of opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who was arrested after returning home on January 17. On February 2, the Simonovsky Court of Moscow replaced his suspended sentence with a real one in the Yves Rocher case with a term of 3.5 years in prison.
