Is disappointed after the government's decision to keep the gastronomy closed: WKÖ boss Harald Mahrer
WKÖ President Harald Mahrer comments on the expansion of economic aid and clarifies what is necessary for further openings.
“The expansion of economic aid announced today is very gratifying for many domestic companies and their employees in view of the ongoing restrictions. With this combination of funding, the Federal Government is responding where there is an acute need for action,” says WKÖ President Harald Mahrer.
And further: “Our companies need perspectives and planning security in order to be able to continue working. Selective, but effective relief like this contributes to this. A clear step-by-step plan for further opening steps is also decisive.”
“The increase in the cancellation bonus, the extended short-time work support and the investment bonus for outdoor dining areas are important additions to the existing range of aid measures,” said WKÖ General Secretary Kopf.
“Our goal is still clear: We need perspectives and a reliable plan for a gradual restart of the economy. Gradual opening steps, flanked by targeted support services, are the right way to achieve this,” emphasizes the head of the Chamber of Commerce.
