Magnitude 5.6 earthquake hits Mexico coast

TASS, 4 July. An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 was recorded on Sunday off the Pacific coast of Mexico. This was announced by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

According to him, the epicenter was located 110 km north-west of the city of Puerto Vallarta in the western state of Jalisco (population – about 203 thousand people). The focus was located at a depth of 40 km.

Data on possible casualties, destruction and the threat of a tsunami were not reported.
