Maduro was vaccinated with the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine on Saturday, March 6. Prior to that, he called the Russian coronavirus vaccine the safest in the world, since the drug shows a high level of body protection.
Vaccination with the Russian vaccine in Venezuela began on 18 February. The first to receive the drug were doctors and people at risk.
